About My Art.
My work is predominantly focused around the theme of family and childhood. I’ve always been very influenced by my childhood and the memories and objects I associate with it. This is a big part of my practice.
I mainly work with portraits, using old family photos of my parents as references. I’ve always liked using tonal pencil as my main medium for my work however in the past few years I have experimented with other techniques such as watercolour, coloured pencils and acrylic paint.
My portraiture has always been a strength for me as I particularly like to be as detailed as possible.
I like to include humour in my work. I enjoy bringing my inner child into my art, whether that be from a specific image or the materials I use such as googly eyes.
I usually work on paper, drawing rather than painting as I have always been more comfortable with that.
I take a lot of inspiration from 80’s and 90’s pop culture, forming the foundations of what I was raised on. My Dad played a big part in this, I guess in part due to his enthusiasm to show me Star Wars and many other classics he grew up with.
This has paved the way for my interest in “retro” concepts, ideas and imagery, which I love to include in my art.
Though my art may seem trivial and childish to some, I believe it still represents true art as art should be something that is created with imagination and skill and that is beautiful or that expresses important ideas or feelings.
Commissioning Schedule.
I am more than happy to be commissioned to produce art on request, some indicative prices are shown below however they may vary depending on the photo and any other expectations and criteria.

Please note I will not copy other artists' work, so please do not request this.
Similarly I would generally retain the right to all images produced, unless negotiated otherwise.
